CONSERVATIVES OF ILLINOIS SUMMIT ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH 27-29

December 11, 2014 By :

CHICAGO, Illinois – For those working for a return to basic conservative principles in Illinois, the countdown has begun. The Conservatives of Illinois Summit 2015 will take place March 27-March 29, 2015. Invited speakers include presidential hopefuls Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Free Capitalism Now, Conservatives of Illinois, and Chicago Conservative Political Action Group are organizing the three-day confab.

“The last election cycle in Illinois and across the country proved the importance of standing up for traditional values and principles, defending our national security, and the dangers of Big Government to the American way of life,” said Conservatives of Illinois chairman William J. Kelly. “Together, we can shape the future of our state and our country at the Conservatives of Illinois Summit in 2015.”

Kelly, a veteran producer of Emmy award-winning TV and contributor to national conservative publications such as Newsmax and American Spectator, says that the recent midterm election victories proved the failure of liberal tactics and insider crony politics.

“Voters in Illinois and across the country have rejected the corruption of the government class – a class that has brought our state and national government to the brink of financial ruin. Conservatives in Illinois and across the nation are the only ones standing in their way. By working together, we will take back the White House and pick up offices for true conservatives in state rep and senate seats across the State of Illinois,” Kelly says.

Other invited speakers include former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, presidential candidate Ben Carson, former Rep. Allen West, and Utah Sen. Mike Lee.

FreeCapitalismNow.com welcomes ‘2016’ Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza to Chicago

September 18, 2012 By :

”I am coming to help Chicagoans get the side of the story that has been hidden from them for the last four years.”

-’2016: Obama’s America’ filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza

September 13, 2012, Chicago, Illinois– Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza will be in Chicagofor a special screening and Q&A about his controversial box-office smash, “2016: Obama’s America.” The event is being hosted by FreeCapitalismNow.com at the Gene Siskel Film Center on September 22nd.

After traveling to exotic locales in Kenya,Indonesia, and Hawaii to uncover Barack Obama’s past, D’Souza finds it fitting to be visiting the President’s adopted hometown and political breeding ground.

“FreeCapitalismNow.com has invited me to come to Chicago for a special screening of my film, ‘2016: Obama’s America,’” D’Souza said. “Chicago may be the President’s adopted hometown but how many Chicagoans know the real Barack Obama? I am coming to help Chicagoans get the side of the story that has been hidden from them for the last four years.”

“Everyone – especially Chicagoans – need to see this film,” says William J. Kelly, Chairman of FreeCapitalismNow.com. “Love him or hate him, discovering Barack Obama’s influences is key to understanding where we are now as a country and where we might be heading. We should never be afraid to question or learn more about our political leaders. That is what America is about.”

2016: Obama’s America has struck a chord.  The film took in $3.2 million at the box office last weekend for a total of $26 million to become the second highest all-time political documentary, passing Michael Moore’s Sicko and Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.

The film’s unexpected box-office success prompted the Obama campaign to issue a statement attacking the film.

At the screening, Chicagoans will have an opportunity to ask D’Souza questions about the film and other aspects of the President’s past. The Q&A will be filmed for an episode of “America’s Instant Townhall,” which is hosted by Kelly, a producer of Emmy award-winning TV.  The episode will  broadcast in fall 2012.

Kelly says that the violence in the Middle East will be part of the discussion. The President’s economic worldview will be another.

FreeCapitalismNow.com is behind a national advertising campaign to counter the attacks on America’s capitalist system. For more information or to purchase tickets for the special screening with Dinesh D’Souza, visit www.freecapitalismnow.com.

The Chicago Sun-Times’s Cure for Crony Capitalism: Raise Taxes on the Rich

September 7, 2012 By :

The Chicago Sun-Times issued an editorial today, asking “Do we owe anything to one another?”  In the newspaper editorial board’s judgment, Americans deserve an equal opportunity; in its words a “capitalism that works for all Americans.”

How does the newspaper believe that is accomplished?

By raising taxes on the richest Americans and preventing deep cuts to social programs.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t sound like capitalism. That sounds like socialism.

Read the excerpt herExcerpt:

Which brings us to that second question: Do we owe anything to each other?

In the view of the Republican Party, as celebrated at their convention last week, the road to national prosperity lies in an intensely go-it-alone individualism, necessitating across-the-board tax cuts, deep cuts in domestic spending and less regulation. It is a view that sees America as an unbounded land of opportunity, for one and all, if only government would get off people’s backs. It is a view that says nobody owes anybody anything.

In the view of the Democrats, America is indeed a land of opportunity, but much more for some than for others. Some folks are born on third base, others never get a chance at the plate. All the talk about the wonders of the free market, with the best and the brightest rising to the top, becomes intellectually dishonest when it fails to acknowledge our nation’s shamefully lopsided distribution of opportunity.

“We know that in our free market economy some will prosper more than others,” San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro said at the Democratic convention on Tuesday. “What we don’t accept is the idea that some folks won’t even get a chance.”

That is what we owe each other: an equal chance. And that is what we hope Obama will emphasize in his speech: the need to increase the opportunity for all Americans to make something of themselves, even as we wrestle with federal deficits and budget cuts.

That means, to our way of thinking, higher taxes on the wealthiest Americans, rather than deep cuts in essential programs for the poor and middle class, such as Medicaid, education funding and student loans.

The aim, Obama must make clear, is not class warfare but precisely the opposite: a capitalism that works for all Americans.

Breitbart.com Reports on FCN’s Campaign for Capitalism

August 31, 2012 By :

FROM BREITBART:  The group FreeCapitalismNow.com is set to release a controversial ad campaign this week to counter the left’s attacks on America’s capitalist system.Their target? The under 30 crowd, who have been taught by their liberal college professors – and President Barack Obama – to believe capitalism is “evil.”

FreeCapitalismNow.com isn’t interested in doing the usual political ads. A new spot, titled, “Me and My Capitalism,” – a recreation of Brooke Shields’ famous campaign for Calvin Klein jeans – reveals a pretty young woman reclining on a velvet couch softly singing, “merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.”
