Why FreeCapitalismNow.com?

The war against capitalism is underway.  It is a war that goes to the heart of who we are as Americans.  It questions our accomplishments as a nation.  How we got here and where we are going.

And it threatens to undermine the American way of life.

Powerful media and cultural elites have villianized America’s capitalist system, calling it “evil,” “corrupt,” and “immoral. Capitalist principles continue to be maligned in television and in film. “Wealth” is now a dirty word, instead of an aspiration.

Politicians employ the rhetoric of class warfare to pit the poor against the rich for strategic gain.

Capitalism has even become the scapegoat for America’s current recession, the collapse of the U.S. housing market and the subprime mortgage crisis.

But is capitalism really to blame forAmerica’s current economic woes?

Our capitalism system hasn’t been “free” from government interference for quite some time. Government now picks the winners and the losers in the market, ensuring both victory and defeat with its self-serving political web of rules and regulations.

The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street movements are a reaction against this rigged system.  Still, capitalism’s powerful detractors have been very effective: They have tarnished capitalism’s reputation and diminished its track record of success.

We know capitalism isn’t the problem; a freer capitalism is the solution. But capitalism will not survive without a campaign to save it.

A positive campaign.

An intelligent campaign.

An inspiring campaign.
